I am running the 2022 London Marathon to help raise money for Meningitis Research Foundation. 

The reason this charity has a special place in my heart was due to being lucky enough to escape being taken by meningococcal meningitis. 

I went to bed on Christmas eve and woke up in coma a week later, with loved ones coming to my bedside to say their goodbye incase I did not wake, then spending over a month in hospital. 

However I am one of the lucky ones. On my check out from the hospital another young guy passed away from meningococcal meningitis who was exactly the same age as me.
