Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been roped into a little 161-mile cycle from Alexandra Palace to the home of heavy metal (sorry Birmingham), Download festival at Donnington Park, as part of the Heavy Metal Truants.

We are aiming to raise much needed funds for three great charities, with all proceeds being split equally between Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline. I will be joining Iron Maiden Manager Rod Smallwood and Metal Hammer Editor Alex Milas as well as other Metal fans, band members, media, managers, agents, record labels and music industry heavyweights, all united by a love of heavy metal and a desire to raise money for worthy causes.

Nordoff Robbins is the UK's leading provider of music therapy services, working with people of all ages and with a range of conditions. Delivering thousands of music therapy sessions per year in care homes, day centres, hospitals, schools and our own centres, we need your help in keeping our dreams a reality. Everyone responds to music - it affects our minds, bodies and feelings.

So, what will your fundraising help with?

£5        could help pay for valuable music therapy minutes

£10      subsidises a music therapy session for a child whose family cannot afford to pay full fees

£32      could pay for a music therapy session for a child with a terminal illness

£50      could help pay for the replacement of vital instruments used in music therapy sessions

£100   could pay for 6 children with learning difficulties to attend a music therapy group.
