Yes it is indeed true.

The lard arse known as Ben Hicks is going to attempt to cycle from London to Paris. Some might say that this is some sort of mid-life crisis thing, others may just be thinking that I am just plain mad. To be honest, it's probably both. I turn 30 this year and have been saying for some time that I want to do something like this, so here I am, attempting to cause myself as much pain as is physically possible all in the name of charity.

This is for a great cause. CARE works in 70 countries with more than 59 million poor and marginalized people each year to help them find a way out of poverty.

So I would like to ask whole heartedly for you to donate some money in the knowledge that it will be helping some people less fortunate than yourselves .... that and you will be helping to cause me a lot of pain and soreness which will appear to some, actually a lot of you.
