Join Team Alzheimer's Society at the world-famous TCS London Marathon and provide help and hope for people affected by dementia.

Story

In 2022 my family lost our grandad to Parkinson’s which often develops alongside Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Having done some work with Dementia Friends before, I wanted to get involved by combining that work with something I love. Running!

Many friends, family and colleagues are effected by the disease in some way which sees 1 diagnosis every 3 minutes. It is set to become the UK’s biggest killer.

Every single donation, no matter how small gets us towards our goal of £2000 so your support is massively appreciated by myself but also the great people suffering with the disease.

If you have any stories/photos of your own you would like to share regarding your loved ones and personal experience please feel free to send them my way. I will upload your story in a community post if you would like it shared 💜✉️

Add me on Strava if you would like to follow my progress as I will be running a half marathon every month until the 2024 London Marathon!

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
