Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Postponed from 2021 I'm going to ride 183km in the 2022 Grand Depart for Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate Cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK and the risks are higher if you are over 50 (most are diagnosed between 65-69 years old).  Other higher risk groups include black men and men whose family have a history of prostate cancer.

Your donations will directly help Prostate Cancer UK fund much needed research that will stop prostate cancer limiting men's lives through better diagnosis, treatment and data. Without more intervention prostate cancer will be the most common form of cancer in the UK by 2030

My friends and I want to help save men's lives.  100  Prostate Cancer UK riders will take on the first stage of the Tour de France from Roskilde to Korsor on the 1st July. (The pro's ride the day after and cycle an extra 16 kms over the Great Belt Fixed link bridge to Nyborg). This is the longest ride I have attempted in one day and my motivation through the sweat & tears is knowing your donations will have an impact on men and their families throughout the UK

Thanks
