South Africa Malahleha Creche Project · 2 April 2020

Our life-changing research can fight diseases, tackle global challenges and change society. At Nottingham, students from all backgrounds can achieve extraordinary things, in and out of the classroom. But talent needs a catalyst. You can shape the future and help make the incredible happen, every day

Story

This year I have been fortunate enough to be a part of UoN Architecture’s South Africa Creche Project. Making this the 10th year of the project, I, along with other architecture students of the university will be spending the next six months, designing, developing, and collaborating on a design for a creche to give 25 day-care age children a positive environment to learn in. With our design, we will head out to Malahlela, South Africa, in the Easter break and construct the creche.

All the money raised through this will be put towards the cost of materials and the build. My travel and accommodation arrangements are separate. So, any donation will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in giving these children a better place to learn and play.

I have uploaded some photos of previous projects and the current Malahlela Day Care building for you to look at.

Thank you!
