Ben Nevis Midnight Challenge · 6 July 2018 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A group of 4 of us are challenging ourselves on 6th July 2018 to climb Ben Nevis at Midnight and aim to get to the summit before dawn to raise money for the Alzheimer's society.

We decided to fundraise for this charity because it is very close to our a family member recently passed away from the disease and we felt it was time to give something back to help other people as a family member with dementia recently passed away over the christmas period. 70% of people in a care home suffer from this awful disease and by 2025 over 1 million in the U.K will have Alzheimer's.

This money will go to help fund for research to help find new treatments or in the near future a cure for this disease. Even if you just donate £1, every bit helps.
