In May 2022 my brother in law Alex and his partner, Amy, lost their son Arlo Charlie-Gray Stevens. It is something that no parent should have to go through and the loss they experienced cannot be summed up in words.  

We will be fundraising for SANDS in memory of Arlo - one of the charities that were there for Alex and Amy and supported them with guidance to help with the grieving process and also to ensure their memories of Arlo could be preserved through things like a memory box. 

Our fundraiser will be to run an ultra marathon (defined as any distance over the regular marathon of 26.2 miles) from Eastbourne Pier to Brighton Pier over the hills of the South Downs Way. The full route will be over 30 miles though some friends will also be joining us from Southease for the last 10 miles of the run to give their support too.
