Story

Hi All,

For those of you who do not know - in the build up to this event, I have managed to rupture all the ligaments in my right ankle, and have been unable to do any running/training for the past month. This aside, I am still unable to run on it and will sadly not be taking part in the event. ALL DONATIONS will be kept by Cancer research and put towards an event of my choice, that I will select in the near future when my ankle has healed.

Those of you who know me will know that in 2012 my best friend Eren lost his battle with cancer after an extremely tough and courageous 18 months.  His attitude towards the experience and the way he handled himself was truly admirable at such a young age. Eren will always be greatly missed by his friends and family, and remembered as the amazing person he was.

More recently another close friend of mine and my housemate during my time at university, Adam, has been diagnosed with bone cancer in his knee. Adam has a fearless determination to fight his battle with cancer and get through this experience as quickly as possible. This attitude truly reflects what an incredible person he is, and why he needs all the support he can to keep this up!

Although this is only a half marathon, some of you may know that endurance is not my forte, and 13.1094 miles is somewhat over my usual 100m sprint. So please donate as much or as little as you can for a great cause and for the extra 20,998 metres of pain.
