What am I doing?
This summer, on the 17th of July, we will be taking part in the Spartan Super Race tackling 25 challenging obstacles requiring strength, pace, and endurance over 10 kilometres whilst competing against other athletes! Although the main goal will be simply trying to complete the challenge without breaking any bones!!!
Why am I doing it?
Rahul has been one of my best friend's since we were 4 years old. His dad, Jay, was lost to a brain tumour (a Gliblastoma or GMB) in October 2019. During the summer of 2018, Rahul, our friend Daniel and I took part in the Tough Mudder challenge. Rahul's mum, Naina, had organised accommodation for all three families. But neither Naina or Jay could come to support us. Jay had been diagnosed a few weeks before and was beginning his own battle. Jay's courage, passion for life and compassion for others has been a great inspiration. Rahul and I are doing this to honour Jay's memory tackling an even harder challenge whilst raising money for the charity set up in his name.
Why Support Us?
The Jay C Trust aims to provide support to families affected by GBM whilst raising awareness for this devastating, but fairly unknown, form of cancer. To find out more please visit https://thejayctrust.com/
