Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know, I will be getting married in July 2010.  With that in mind, I have decided it is time to get fit!

I will be running the Brighton Marathon on 18 April 2010, followed a week later by the London Marathon on 25 April 2010.  I have never run a marathon before (but if Eddie Izzard can run 43 marathons in 51 days, then two in eight days should be easy)!  I will also be taking part in various other events along the way, in order to increase my fitness levels, including the Silverstone Half-Marathon on 14 March 2010.

I will be raising money for the Stroke Association, after being inspired by my Grandad George Rhodes, and the strength and determination that he has shown, since suffering a stroke.

Many thanks,

Ben
