The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.

BASIS supports visually impaired people across South Essex, providing vital information, emotional and practical support. During these challenging times, facing Covid 19, the visually impaired community are even more isolated. They are unable to socially distance and are missing the usual activity groups run by BASIS which offer valuable social interaction. Your support will mean that BASIS can continue to be there for the sight impaired community now and in the future.
