Ben Singleton is raising money for Cancer Research UK
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 25th November I will be stepping into the ring for the first time, at a black tie boxing event in Blackpool, to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I will start my training just eight weeks prior to entering the ring.
When I signed up to do this, I couldn't help but think of the Simpsons episode 'The Homer They Fall' -
"Homer, you don't know how to box, you're 38 years old, and you haven't gotten any exercise since grade school. Of all the crazy ideas you've had, this one ranks somewhere in the middle. Before you even consider this, I insist you consult a doctor."
To make this a bit more interesting (and hopefully raise a bit more cash) anyone who donates £20+ can suggest a nickname for me to fight under. A week before the fight, I will put all the suggestions in a hat and pull one out at random live on FB. The name pulled out will be the nickname I will fight under on the night, and eternalised on the back of my vest.

As well as donating to my event, you will also be able to purchase tickets for the event. This is a black tie event, taking place at the Village Hotel, Blackpool.
Standard tickets are £20 and can be purchased through me or through Eventbrite (I will provide a link as soon as they go on sale).
Whilst I know many of you would pay good money just to see me in the ring anyway, please can you dig deep. This is such a worth while cause with cancer effecting everyone ; the young and old, the rich and poor, men, women and children. Every 2 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.
Your support helps CRUK to fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of cancer, to make a difference, to save lives.
