I grew up in Germany in the 80's and 90's, while my father was stationed in Minden and Soest. I can remember SSAFA and people fundraising - but was too young to appreciate the practical, emotional and financial support they were providing to families.

The range of support SSAFA provides is huge - from help with housing, to accessing disability services and supporting families through the adoption process. 

Running in Berlin will bring back memories of my childhood as an Army kid (Currywurst!), so I would like to do a little bit to help support service families.
