Guinuess World Record - Greatest vertical distance on foot in 24 hours (uphill and downhill) · 26 September 2020

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

We are so fortunate in live in the UK, we have an amazing health care system and world beating first responders. We know that when things go wrong (really wrong) and we need urgent help then it will come.

However a lot of our countryside, particularly in Wales, is away from public highways, and therefore in this situation the mode of transport you will prey for is a helicopter.

Right or wrong the government doesn't pay for the upkeep of air ambulances, so please join me and help support the most valuable ambulances in the UK.

Ben completed 101 laps of a trail run in South Wales on the 26/27th Sep. Subject to confirmation of evidence by the Guinness World Records, Ben achieved the record with a an elevation change of 22,676.52m.
