It’s that time of year that once again where I’m about to do something crazy to raise money for the fantastic cause of Buhinga Primary School in Uganda. This time I may well have outdone myself! On the 19^th July 2015 I will be competing in the Zurich Ironman. This involves a 3.8 kilometre swim in open water followed by a 180 kilometre bike and topped off with a marathon.

It’s been a long journey getting to the start line juggling training with work and an MBA. At the turn of the year I could swim no more than 50 meters freestyle. My training for the ironman has included a half marathon, a 3.8km swim, the Edinburgh marathon and two half ironman races. I’m hoping this has prepared me for the physical and mental challenges that lie ahead in Zurich!
