TransPennine Trail · 21 August 2017

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Over the last 7 years, Ben (now 11) and his Dad have carried out an annual charity challenge, raising about £4000, (thanks to the generosity of friends, family and work colleagues)for good causes through various activities such as cycling, mountain climbing, walking, litter picking and canoeing. We started by cycling around Anglesey (100 km) when he was just five years old, raising funds for Meningitis Research.

This year’s challenge, which we intend to carry out in August, is to cycle the Trans Pennine Trail (Just over 200 miles) from Southport to Hull – All proceeds will go to The Stroke Association (Regd Charity 211015)
