On a dark windy night, on the shores of the Thames, two boys, fuelled by bravado and way to many beers, bragged endlessly about tough mudder to their Chairman.

As the night wore on, surrounded by their peers, the bravado got to levels previously unseen in that part of the world.

Then, as if to taunt them, the Chairman offered them a place in his annual marathon in Majorca. He knew the hell that is the marathon - and for the boys it was too late - they had nowhere to go.

"Mike", they said "We will do it" while holding back their tears.

The next day they spoke privately of their regret, but agreed they could not change their mind.

Now close friends, they even have their own "Ben and Jase" song, they inch ever closer to even more, insufferable bragging rights in October.
