Story

Our store has been proud to support Footsteps 4 Oliver since Whiteley opened in May 2013! Oliver suffers from Spastic Diplegic Cerebal Palsy and last year underwent a life changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy to help him use his legs properly. Since the operation the hard work of intensive Physio has continued. The huge changes that our store has witnessed from Oliver's visit have been breathtaking and we know that there is still so much more for this 5 year old boy to go through.

That's why Russell and Ben are doing something that in early January we were very much "yeah we can do the Nuts Challenge" puffing out our chest in true macho spirit. While the months have passed the "yeah I'll start training next week" mentality has come out. 7Km mud obstacle course Voted Toughest UK obstacle course 2014. We will be fine we can start in May 😳.

To be honest the closer we have got the more it has come apparent to us is that this is going to be hell for us both. We know people do this every weekend for S&G but for us we couldn't think of anything worst! Well maybe 2 laps would be.....

Late May Ben fractured his ankle and putting a lot of this in doubt. Russell's training didn't start either, and if you know Russell he eats more than he trains, so it came to the end of July and we knew both being young fathers we had to do this! Regardless of time it takes, injury and everything else, we wanted to do this for Oliver.

Training has been interesting but we know come Sunday 4th September if we have your support it will push us on even more, so please donate what ever you can to an amazing young boy.
