Climb Everest at home · 26 January 2021 ·

PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide. We run HOPELINE247 0800 068 4141 a freephone confidential helpline staffed by trained professionals who give advice, support & information to anyone who is feeling suicidal, or concerned that a young person they know may be at risk

Story

I have decided to climb the stairs at home for the height of Mount Everest over the period of a month. This is equal to going up my stairs 85 times a day which is equivalent to (297.5m) for a month to reach the vertical hight of Mt Everest (8,849m). I am doing this to raise money for PAPYRUS which is a charity which raises awareness for mental health as well as helping to prevent youth suicide. I believe that this is even more important than ever in the climate we are currently living in. Every penny counts so any size donation is much appreciated.
