We need no reminding that great pal and Putney teammate Mark Wibberley lost his son Emyln tragically in 2010, who died suddenly while walking to school. It seems so recent.

CRY is Putney Cricket's official charity, and CRY supported me so well when I ran the marathon in 2011 and 2023.

What CRY do is screen for heart defects - luckily we were able to get Henry screened and he was given the all clear. Donations will allow more children to get screened.

I deferred the marathon in 2024, due to knackered knees after the #496 challenge - this time around I'm training properly - off the booze* and going hard to beat my pb of 4h13
