Catering Equipment Industry Walking Group - Blencathra Challenge · 20 September 2019

Behind their smiles and slick service hospitality workers can fall upon hard times just like anybody else. Ours is a stressful industry, with long hours, high pressure environments and physically demanding work. We are here to offer financial, physical and psychological support to those who need it.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising Page.

We are raising funds in support of Hospitality Action, a charity who offers vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK and who find themselves in crisis.

We are undertaking to climb Blencathra in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria. Whilst not exactly a long walk of 7 miles the difficulty will be in the climb up to a height of 2,778 feet or 887 metres.

About Hospitality Action.....

They support people…

  • Suffering from life altering illnesses
  • Experiencing poverty, bereavement and domestic violence
  • Retired from the industry who may be isolated

The money we raise will go towards…

  • Grants for essential items including food, equipment and central heating
  • Supporting our often isolated and lonely retired hospitality workers
  • Running educational seminars advising catering students of the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
Please give generously.

Thanks,

James Connolly and the Team.
