Story

Evie and I are running the 2023 Royal Parks Half Marathon and raising money for Masicorp is an amazing charity that, in short, uses education to help young people progress out of poverty. Masiphumelele is a township on the Cape Peninsula about 40 minutes south of Cape Town and is home to ~40,000 people who have been left poor and severely disadvantaged as a result of apartheid. Masicorp was founded in 1999 and, over the years, has changed the lives of thousands of young people. Your donation, big or small, will be used to support the meaningful programs continuously carried out by the charity and will enable the charity to widen its support net for the young people growing up in Masiphumelele.

My personal connection to Masi is through my late-Grandmother who was one of the early team at Masicorp. In 2011, she received an MBE for her services to youth education in South Africa. For as long as I can remember, Granny was devoted to “Masi” and the kids she worked with – she really loved them and I am very proud.

Please support me by donating to this brilliant cause.
