On Sunday 2nd September 2018 I will be swimming the length of Lake Windermere, England's longest lake. Starting at Fell Foot it will be an 11 mile journey that will truly test me both physically and mentally. That's the equivalent of swimming 708 lengths of a swimming pool - without stopping!!

I have decided to complete this challenge to raise funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice, a local charity and one which my company, Russell Taylor, have chosen to support as their charity of the year.

Claire House Children's Hospice is based on the Wirral and helps seriously and terminally ill children enjoy life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. Having visited Claire House in June, I couldn't believe the work they do and would love to contribute to a fantastic cause.
