Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Endure 24 is done. I managed to complete 70 miles (14 laps) in 24 hours. I completed 50 miles in less than 12 hours but unfortunately I started to suffer with muscle cramps and had to slow things down considerably in the second half of the race.

But it doesn't stop there. The next couple of months will be busy with various races both serious and fun. First up is St Helena Hospice Bubble Rush on 5th September. This is a 5km run with several stations of bubbles to run thtough. This is of course purely for fun. I will be following this the very next day with Langham 10k.

October gets more serious with St Helena Hospice's 10 mile trail race called Take on the Trail. I will follow this with a 10km obstacle race called The Gauntlet. This involves lots of mud, cold water and obstacles to climb over, crawl under, jump over etc. I will end the month with Stort 30. This is a 30 mile trail run (a marathon and a bit).

In November I will be running the Paras 10. This race was meant to take place in the summer but was postponed due to very hot weather. I will be running in military style boots whilst carrying 35lb of weight on my back.

I am fundraising for St Helena Hospice. 19 years ago my dad passed away from cancer. He spent the final weeks of his life at the hospice and the care given to him by the staff was excellent. On top of this the support given to my family was a big help especially to me and my brother who were young children at the time. Since then the hospice has helped my family again by offering support and respite care to my aunty during her long fight with cancer before she sadly passed away last year.

If you want to sponsor me for my efforts at Endure 24 or for any of these upcoming events then both myself and St Helena Hospice will be very grateful for anything that you can give. St Helena Hospice really is a very worthwhile cause and makes a big difference to the lives of people with life limiting illnesses and their families. Your money will make a real difference so please give whatever you can and help me to help this great cause.
