Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Brain Tumour Research is my chosen charity because as many of you are already aware, a great many were profoundly saddened at the passing of my sister Naomi in June last year after a 3-year-long battle with cancer, aged only 26.

In an attempt to reflect her passion for adventure, this summer I join school-friends James Green and Alex Ramsden in attempting the impossible: to flog a decrepit and barely functional 1.1 litre rust-bucket from the velvety motorways of Europe across the mountains and deserts of the middle east to the vast blank map space of Mongolia. It is a relentless 10,000 mile trek over more than 40% of the circumference of the earth. We think tarmac, ABS and signal are cheating - with no backup, no support and no set route, we are clearly left a recipe for some good, safe fun(!).

Please donate and help us raise some money for Brain Tumour Research to continue the incredible work they do, and enjoy watching three Englishmen's trials and tribulations in these far-flung corners of the globe, where we may meet the finish line in an even worse state than the car.
