Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Oscar's passing from a DIPG, a type of brain tumour. In his memory, Ben (Oscar's Brother) and Gus (Oscar's Cousin) are competing in the Olympic Distance, Swanage Triathlon to fundraise for Brain Tumour research, a local charity that alongside research, provides support to families who are affected by brain tumours.

To sustain long-term, peer-reviewed research at Brain Tumour research's UK Centres of Excellence, they need one million pounds per year to run one of their many research laboratories. That's £2,740 per day, per centre. Our fundraising target for this Triathlon is to fully fund one centre for a day in Oscars memory.
