Sepsis Research FEAT funds vital research into sepsis and helps to raise awareness of sepsis. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition caused by the body overreacting to infection. It kills around 50,000 people in the UK each year. Please support us today & help us in our mission to #stopsepsisnow.

Story

Team NL Care Sepsis Research FEAT

I am delighted to join the NL Care team as they celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Whilst I can't mirror their challenge of cycling 300 miles to raise much needed funds for Sepsis Research FEAT, I am going to attempt my own fitness challenge.

Between Sunday 20th June and Saturday 10th July I am going to run/walk 100km/62miles (supplemented with one small bike ride). This may not sound like a lot to many of you, but since retiring from competitive rugby in February 2020 I have barely moved, so it will be a significant challenge for me.

I will be finishing my challenge with a walk up Scafell Pike; England's tallest mountain.

Sepsis takes the lives of around 50,000 people in the UK every year.  Sepsis is a life threatening condition.  More awareness and more research is needed to #stopsepsisnow

Any donation towards the team would be fantastic and would help Sepsis Research FEAT continue with the amazing work they do.
