At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Every three minutes, somebody in the UK is told they have dementia.

We never thought that mum would get Dementia; it's not something you envisage happening to your loved ones. When mum was diagnosed we didn't really understand what it would be like, how challenging life would become for her and how it would affect all the family.

It's tragic the pain and suffering that she went through, and the toll it takes on the people who love and care for those with Dementia.  That's why I'm taking on the challenge to trek to the summit of Ben Nevis to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society to find a cure.

Mum sadly passed away in March this year, I'm doing this trek in her memory. I would be so grateful if you’d kindly support me by making a donation, however big or small - every penny counts.

Many thanks x
