We are a group of friends who are hoping to raise funds for an organisation close to our hearts, whilst doing something that we love, hiking! 

About us:

Our team consists of 4 individuals from varying backgrounds in life. Every one of us has reached out for support at some point in our journeys, it's what initially brought us all together! Since then, we have supported one another through some of the most challenging times of our lives, both the highs and the lows! We've found hiking and mindful walks to be incredibly helpful in so many ways. Now we're looking to work on a new collective goal to put ourselves and give back in the process!

About Mind:

Mind is a charity dedicated to providing mental health support to all who need it. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. For over 60 years, Mind has worked to improve the lives of people struggling with mental health problems - whether that be by providing local community care, individual support, government lobbying, or myriad other endeavours. Mental health issues currently affect as many as 1 in 4 adults. As a charity,  their work is only possible by the help and generosity of others - whether you're able to donate £2 or £20, every little matters!

Our challenge:

We will be challenging ourselves to hike up Ben Nevis on the 30th April 2022.
It is the highest mountain in Scotland and the British Isles, with a summit of 1,345 metres (4,413 ft) above sea level and is the highest land in any direction for 459 miles (739 kilometres) – the equivalent of climbing 6725 stairs!
It stands at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Highland region of Lochaber, close to the town of Fort William.
The mountain is a popular destination, attracting an estimated 100,000 ascents a year, around three-quarters of which use the Mountain Track from Glen Nevis. Which is where our climb will begin!

Our journey will begin on Friday the 29th in South Wales, where we will be beginning the long drive to our highland destination – with the climb instigating on the 30th!
