Ride To Victory

Ride to Victory · 15 August 2020 ·
My name is Ben Obese-Jecty. I’m a former British Army Infantry Officer and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m participating in Combat Stress’s Ride to Victory event in order to raise money for this important charity.

To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of VJ Day I’ll be completing a 75 mile ride in the run up to the anniversary itself on 15th August.
I served in Sangin on Operation Herrick 11, a difficult tour that saw our Battlegroup sustain significant casualties over a protracted period. In the decade since returning home there have been many instances of those who served there taking their own lives.
Over 150 veterans have committed suicide since January 2018. The unseen impact of war can lead to PTSD, anxiety and depression. Combat stress provides much needed support to those who need it and focuses on those with complex mental health issues.

If you’re able to contribute anything at all to support the charity, I would be very grateful.
