Ben Ronsseray 2023 Half Marathon

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2023 · 8 October 2023 ·
On the 17th of December 2018, our 3 years old son Gaspard was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma pelvic cancer. As you can imagine, our life has changed forever.
Gaspard has finished his main treatment in July19 and has received a 12 months maintenance chemotherapy treatment.
Gaspard is now a fine young boy with very few little secondary effects from the treatment.
We can say we are blessed as Parents and as a Family.
It is now time for us to give back to the Cancer community which has been incredible during this journey.
This is why we are supporting Alice’s Arc, a register Charity raising fund and awareness for rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer.
For the London Royal Park Half marathon, we are gathering a group of runners to participate and fundraise for Alice’s Arc.
Why did we choose Alice's Arc ?
When we first met Sara, the founder of Alice's Arc, we started sharing
our deepest fears and our new life as parents with sick children. Sara
helped us to understand the disease and gave us so much energy to fight that we became instantly close to her. Her fight has inspired us and we want to support this cause, for Gaspard, for Alice and for all the children affected by this aggressive disease.
Alice’s Arc works with the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) in collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH). The ICR, together with its clinical partner, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, forms the largest comprehensive cancer center in Europe. GOSH is the largest paediatric cancer center in Europe.
