Story
'I've always wanted to run the London Marathon' the words of Ben, my husband who has always dreamt of running the London Marathon. But in our eyes never had a real motivation to do it, it was just a dream, until now! What is our motivation now, to make one of Ben's dreams a reality? There is only one answer 'Our little Boy'
In January 2015 Ben and i welcomed into the world, our beautiful little boy, Oscar! Clearly, just as excited to meet us as were him, Oscar was born 9 weeks early! Introducing us to the world of parenthood very differently to how we had imagined. As we began the journey, that was soon to open our eyes in to the world of premature babies, something that we knew so little about. We soon realised that naievity was not an option. Our baby was here! And was just one of the little miracles that now depended on not only us as parents but the amazing doctors, nurses and many others who were about to be part of the journey to save our little boys life!
At just 3 lbs when he was born, Oscar depended massively on the support and care of the neonatal unit in Milton Keynes hospital. We knew Our little boy was a fighter but without the hospital and the charity 'Bliss' who supports them, i more than likely, wouldn't be writing this now! Our journey with Oscar is far from over, as our little miracle continues to fight and show us just what an amazing, determined little boy he is! So with the same determination as our boy! Ben is about to face one of the biggest challenges of his life by running a marathon for something so close to our hearts! Something that will never come close to the emotional challenge we faced and continue to face as a family but if it means he can help others as well as making us the proudest wife and son, its a challenge hes more than willing to win!!!!!!!
Any amount you can donate is more than appreciated! No amount to big and no amount to small, we are just grateful for your support!
