When my good friend Iain Whyte did the Ride Across Britain last year, I thought to myself: `what am I doing to help myself and others?' 

So when Iain said he wanted to do it again this year, I decided to go for it. 

It has been over one and a half years since my brother Mark died of MS. He was an inspiration to everyone, and would be the first one to tell me to `get on my bike'.  Here's to you Mark.

MS is a horrible disease, and unfortunately a cure is a long way away.  Anything we can do to bring that day forward will be a great help.

My target is £2,000, and I will match all the money kindly donated (with all matched money going to Leuchie House respite home where Mark had happy times).  All donations very welcome, but as an incentive to me to finish perhaps I could suggest 10p/mile or 5p/mile which if I complete all 969miles comes to £96.90 or £48.45.
