I am running the Leeds 10k Run For All (Jane Tomlinson) in memory of a special man, Martin Teer. He was my best friend's father, and also the man who introduced me to Red Stripe lager...!

He was taken by Alzheimer's on 14th August 2009, and his memory has lived on through the amazing work his son Francis has done - climbing Kilimanjaro and walking Hadrian's Wall - to raise money for research into fully understanding and trying to beat this disease. 

I am planning on running the Leeds 10k and the Abbey Dash this year, and thinking about a half marathon next year to help raise money for Leeds University's research.

For every minute it takes me to run this race, I will donate £1.
