I have decided to raise funds for North Ayrshire Cancer Care who supported and helped me when I was undergoing my own treatment for breast cancer.  

In an attempt to raise as much as possible for this very worthwhile charity, several events are being organised including a sponsored walk over the marathon distance (training is in progress) planned for early May 2015. In addition with the help of friends in the local live music scene, we are organising a full day of fun, music, raffles, auctions and laughs on 24th May 2015 at Prestwick Cricket Club.  Details, dates and more information will be available here or on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/berniesbands

North Ayrshire Cancer Care is a local self funded organisation who rely on fundraising and the generosity of the local community to enable them to provide a much needed and much appreciated service to cancer patients and their families in our local area.  By fundraising  in this way we can ensure that future patients will be able to benefit from the same level of support and assistance that I myself received. 

I hope that my friends will donate generously as they have done in the past and together we can make a difference to people who are going through a very tough time in their lives.
