Story
Hello friends and relations,
As you probably already know my great pastime for possibly all my life is walking, sometimes very long distances all over Great Britain and sometimes abroad, and I have been fortunate to have walked with many of you over the years, taking in many a spectacular view. But walking over hot embers with bare feet is something else that has always fascinated me, and how do they do it. I am told I have to make six brisk steps. Well I am about to find out.
Elaine would have thought I am crazy and she may be right, but I feel as though I must have a crack at it and try to raise funds for the Martlets, who helped Elaine and myself in a big way with her terminal illness until the very end. When she was introduced to the Martlets after her diagnosis, we were already aware of the great things they do, as they helped my Mother and some of our very close friends and family. Somehow they always made it close to being an enjoyable place for sufferers, friends and partners to visit. How do they do it?
They are a very specialist trained team of caring people that deal with very difficult situations everyday, and somehow they make those situations bearable and manageable.
They have have a great team raising funds, but they always need cash and it is continuous. So I am asking you to give me a donation to pass on to the team to help out with families and friends who have probably only just received the sad news of their loved ones. Please give what you can afford to the Martlets for the difficult, but intergral work they do.
Yours faithfully,
Hot foot Bernard
