I am a Paramedic and have a passion for Nepal and the development of its national ambulance service, Nepal Ambulance Service (NAS).  To date I have completed four missions to Nepal being engaged in various supporting activities.  NAS is an embryonic organisation currently supported by Nepali benefactors, International donors and its income generation initiatives. The ultimate aim of NAS is to achieve a nationwide footprint  providing 'out of hospital' care to all regardless of their ability to pay.  The attached photograph illustrates one mode of transport used in the remote areas of Nepal to access medical care.  Myself and friends plan to illustrate this mode of patient conveyance using a manikin in a 40 + kilometre walk over the Yorkshire Hills. All monies donated will be used to support ambulance operations in Pokhara.

About the charity

Friends of Nepal Ambulance service is a UK based charity providing logistical, financial and training support for NAS – the first and only professional pre-ambulance service in Nepal. Emergency care is crucial to saving the sick and injured of Nepal so please do give generously.
