Story
In Romania thousands of families live in extreme poverty with no proper home, insulation, heating or water. This summer, a group of 11 Kingdown students and 2 teachers are going our to Romania to support one homeless family by building for them a safe shelter. We will also be helping to create more sustainable communities by providing renewable energy and water supplies, and starting vegetable growing projects.
We are funding the trip ourselves but we need to raise £4,400 for wood and other building materials. To raise money we have so far washed cars, packed bags in supermarkets, and sold anything we can. We are about to embark on a challenging sponsored bike ride from Warminster to Bristol and back. We will continue with our fundraising efforts unitl we to achieve our target!
We would be very grateful for any donation that you can give to the team. Please help if you can. A really big thank-you.
