Story

EVENT: Thursday 30th April, in our front garden, 8.05pm after the Clap for Carers. You can watch LIVE on the Facebook event page!

Since first being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, ACC (adenoid cystic carcinoma) in 2006 in the right side of my face, I've since had a further six diagnoses of ACC, far too many operations to count, and too much treatment to list out here!

The ACC spread from my head & neck to my lungs in October 2017 with a diagnosis that it would ultimately be terminal.  I am able to get each lung tumour treated with ablation surgery (at Harefield Hospital in north-west London) but new tumours will keep growing.  I've just this month been told a further I've got 3 more lungs tumours plus a possible tumour on my liver (tbc).

As a thank you for all the support I've had over the last 14 years from the local Stoke hospital, I am doing a head-shave on the evening of Thursday 30th April.  The plan is to do this in our front garden immediately after the 8pm Clap for Carers, and we'll live-stream it on the Facebook event page

Please share this page & let's raise a few pounds for our local hospital charity!

UPDATE 1 - my original target was £1,000 but with over a week to go until the event, this was being reached so I increased it to £2,000

UPDATE 2 - great story on this marvellous local news website:
