I was diagnosed with Parkinson's three years ago, after noticing a recurrent tremor in my left leg. The disease is progressive so my symptoms have worsened over time, but fortunately remain manageable so I am able to maintain an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise.

The recent BBC documentary "The Parkinson's Drug Trial: A Miracle Cure?" alerted me to the work of the Cure Parkinson's Trust and its inspirational founder, Tom Isaacs. I wanted to do something to support the Trust, so combining some fundraising with a good deal of vigorous exercise seemed an obvious option.
