Story
Hello all
You may be aware of a tragic event in Manchester in September 2012 where two Police Officers where shot following a routine burglary call. These officers were PC Nicola Hughes and PC Fiona Bone who both died as a result of this.
My aim is to run or walk 2 miles a day for 125 days. This challenge starts on December 1st and finishes on April 4th when PC Nicola Hughes' dad will complete the North Pole Marathon in memory of his daughter.
If you could spare a pound or two for the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund that would be amazing! All 43 police forces are getting involved in this charity event so hopefully as a team we will raise a great amount for a great charity.
The donations go to 3 charities; victim support, north west police benevolent fund and care of police survivors (cops). COPS is a charity that helps survivors to cope with a tragedy and also to the families that have lost people whilst serving in the line of their duty.
