I have been given the amazing opportunity to do something I have always dreamed of doing. In June I am traveling to Malawi with a group of staff and students from uni to deliver sports workshops to local Teachers, Coaches and Church leaders. In the region sport is not seen as a priority meaning there is a lack of participation. Alongside the Malawians that we will be working with, we aim to promote sport as a way to educate the community on issues such as the awareness of HIV/AIDS and women's rights. We are also trying to reduce crime levels and increase education through sport.
