Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Six people in our extended family have/had dementia, and I've seen the devastating effects on them and everyone around them.  I'd like to take on a challenge to raise money for Dementia UK which supports sufferers and those around them.  So I'm walking from the north of Italy to Rome on an ancient pilgrimage route.  

Thanks for your support for this excellent cause. I'm hoping to raise a pound for every kilometre, £1004 in total. I've now completed the challenge, reaching Rome on 2 May 2023. Even though the target has been reached, you can still donate to Dementia UK (or use the link to the team page above if you'd rather donate to Alzheimer's Society or Cardiff City Hospice.)
