Story
Like many families, we have recently lost several close and treasured family members to cancer. I want to cut my hair shorter and it will be fantastic to be able to donate my hair to a really great charity that not only makes wigs, but also funds research into cancer treatments and the causes of childhood cancer.
My friends and family know that I'm instantly recognisable by my trade-mark plait. I'm hoping to cut half a metre (50cm) of my hair off which means my plait will be gone!
Whilst I can donate my hair for free, the charity needs money to make the wig. I read that it takes 60 hours to make a wig by hand, and I want to ensure I cover the cost of making the wig as far as possible. Please donate through this page to help cover that cost.
Here's some information from Little Princess Trust:
When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
