In the lead up to my birthday, people have been asking "Bethany, what would you like for your birthday?" "Is there anything that you need?" "Have you seen anything nice?"

The honest truth is that I have all that I need and want. As I have been sitting racking my brains thinking of things that people could buy me, I remember that there are people trapped in slavery all over the world. It's estimated that there are 20.9 million slaves worldwide, that’s three out of every 1000 people!!

And it's not just overseas either. It's estimated that there are 10,000-13,000 modern day slaves in the UK. HERE. In YOUR city. 

As many of you know, I have struggled in the past from an addiction to pornography. Learning about the links between sex trafficking and pornography made me take things seriously; I realised my actions deeply impacted others. Instead of buying me a present this year, I would really love for you to donate that money to Hope for Justice who exist to bring an end to modern slavery by rescuing victims, restoring lives, and reforming society.
