I'm running the Bristol 10K for Action for Children this May. The cost of living crisis caused by many local and global factors have left more families in poverty than ever. Children are suffering from lack of food, clothing and mental health support. Action for Children helps support the families of these children, providing resources such as clothes and books for school and mental health support. Action for Children also campaigns for change directly from the government - including changing laws to support and protect children. Due to their hard work, sustained emotional abuse is now a crime in England and Wales - as well as many other policy changes.
