Story

The Sea Shanty Festival is one of the highlights of my year and I am once again gutted when it had to be cancelled.

The RNLI is one of the charities that is so close to her heart and despite everything that is going on the RNLI is busier than ever and its amazing how the volunteers continuing to save lives around our coastline 24/7.

While I may have had to mothball my collection bucket, once again I have gone high tech and decided to challenge all the Sea Shanty Groups to try and beat my own fundraising target for this years Virtual Sea Shanty Event. I will be encouraging the other Sea Shanty Groups to setup their own JustGiving pages to try and "Beat Betty" so any donations you make to this page will help me to hopefully smash my own personal target of £1,000 and keep ahead of the friendly competition from the other groups.

The winner will be announced during this years Falmouth Virtual Sea Shanty Event on Saturday 19 June. Your donation will help the RNLI to continue to save lives around our coast as it has done for nearly 200 years ensuring even in these difficult and testing times that we do all we can to save every one.
