My unruly, curly hair is one of my defining features and up until a few years ago I couldn't bear to think of losing it.
However, I met a brave young girl who at the age of 11 was diagnosed with alopecia and began losing her hair. But you see the thing is you don't just lose you hair, you lose your confidence, you begin to feel self conscious. For me, my hair will grow back but for some children it never will.
