This autumn I am stepping down as CEO of Norwood. 

Norwood is an amazing organisation. It saved me when my life fell apart 27 years ago. Now, having had the privilege of working for Norwood, I have seen up close how much love, care, devotion and immense effort our staff invest daily in supporting the adults with learning disabilities and autism and the children and families experiencing difficulties who rely on Norwood to get by. They were saviours through Covid and are our society's unsung heroes.  

To mark my departure,  having cycled 300 hilly kms on a tandem with my daughter Talya around the Italian lakes last week, next week I will be tackling 230km along Dorset's Jurassic coast - this time joined by  my daughter Gemma  (and my Mom Ros in toe too)!!!. 

I am doing this in gratitude to Norwood for having been there for me when I needed it;  in gratitude for all Talya has achieved in spite of her cerebral palsy, visual impairment, epilepsy and learning disabilities;  and mostly in gratitude to the wonderful human beings who make up Norwood's incredible staff team.
